We had a Pitching event at 01.11.2011, where Mike Bradshaw was telling about pitching in general.
After Mike’s presentation all attendants pitched, almost everyone for their first time. Oliver Bremer who was at top7 @ Slush 2011 had pitched earlier too

Most significant things you could grab would be that in a pitch you should at least show the following:

• a problem
• .. and a solution
• and tell the audience why you are telling them this (ask for something, like money)
